The Principle of Rhythm

“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.”

Just as a pendulum swings there is a rhythm to everything. Take the four seasons of the year: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, they flow from one to the other and then cycle back. I’ve always had a feeling that time was off… as an engineer I could never understand why we don’t follow patterns (cycles) instead of some strict man made invention that has to be adjusted from… Time to time.
