“Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law.”
This is big one. Every Effect has a Cause, nothing is random. A good analogy is playing pool, you set up a shot; think about possible outcomes; decide your path and line up your pool cue and shoot. This would be the Cause. The Effect would be the outcome of the shot. This is a pretty simple picture, but causality and effects are very complex that incorporate other Natural Laws. Also, it needs to be noted that Effects are separated from their Cause by time. You can not change anything in the plane of Effect, but can change everything in the plane of Cause. The video below correlates the “Why” with Cause, and you do have Choice unlike what the Merovingian stated, Everybody has will and choice.
